Juan Pablo Borquez
Commercial Engineer and Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Lawyer and Law Degree from Universidad de Chile. Professional with vast multidisciplinary and international experience as an economist, lawyer, banker, advisor and consultant. Worked in corporate banking with Continental Bank, N.A. and later in investment banking with Midland Bank, PLC. He was also Chairman of the Board of INDISA from 1997 to 2003, a company listed on the Santiago Stock Exchange.
He specializes in the following areas: Banking and Finance, Negotiation, Complex Conflict Resolution, Energy, International Business, Strategic Advisory and Corporate Governance. He has advised in multiple financing transactions, purchase and sale of assets, commercial and financial disputes, new business development, corporate governance and fiduciary duties, generation and supply of electricity. He has also been a Professor at the Universidad de Chile Law School and a Visiting Scholar at Yale Law School.
